Baan Zion Update – Where Have We Been?

Dear friends,

It has been a while since you heard from us and saw frequent
posts on our Facebook pages.
The reason is not alarming, but caused by travel and I am staying in
Baan Zion in Thailand. Internet here is not that great and it has its vulnerabilities.

Reason for my long stay here, first of all of course are our girls and
seeing how they are doing, spending time with them and where
needed have conversations about what ever is on their minds
or needed.

Prayer Request For Tenali, India

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”
Matthew 9:37

Dear friends,

As promised, time for a new blog.
On Facebook I already wrote that a lot is happening here in Tenali and
it is. We are on the crossroads of an enormous breakthrough in expanding
our Ministry here. The harvest here is absolutely plentiful!!!

We serve in this large slum with about 7000 people and in previous
blogs and on our Facebook page, I already told you about the poverty
and in fact inhuman circumstances under which people, men, women and children have to live.
A situation where young children and in special girls in general always suffer the most.

Baan Zion – God’s Grace

Dear friends,

We serve an Awesome Lord and Savior and we see His Grace
and life changing power over and over again in the lives of the
girls we care for.

Over the years we have rescued many girls out of dangerous and
child unworthy situations. We take them from prisons, out of severe
abuse situations and human trafficking.

We bring them into our house(s), raise them as our own and provide
in all that is needed. Here with us, they receive healing of their traumas
and are given the opportunity to grow physically and mentally into very
strong and stable individuals.

In 2012 we saved these girls out of their village and a life of abuse,
after they were left when the mother went to prison. As so typical
here no one cared about them.

India Tenali Slum Project Update: The Food Project

“Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor,
will also cry out and not be answered”
Proverbs 21:13

Being here in Tenali is an ongoing very humbling experience.
Seeing the need and the desolation of the people here, you
cannot do anything else than realize how blessed we are
and how much we consider as natural in the West.

And we really stand at awe, when we see how much of an impact
we are already starting to make in this huge slum, by placing
clean water pumps, feeding the so many children, and offering
young girls and single mothers the opportunity for a future by
learning to sew and having their own sewing machine, so they can
make a living.

Baan Zion Update – Moving is Close

“Except the Lord builds the house,
they labor in vain who build it”
Psalm 127:1a Amplified Bible

There is a time and place for everything under the sun.
And the best time and place are the ones determined by
the Lord Jesus Himself.
Sometimes difficult to wait for in patience, but if we do
in faith, the result will always bless us in ways we could not
arrange ourselves.

For us here in Baan Zion, it is a time of great anticipation
knowing that this year will bring a major change in our
living circumstances. Being the moment we later this year
will buy and move to our new house(s).
A moment that now is coming close very fast.

Pump It Up!

Dear friends,

Today was a day of great celebration again in the Tenali slum, we together with our brother Ps. Abraham may work in.
Can you imagine that you have no water in your house? No tap, that just with the twist of your hand spills out clean and cool drinking water for as long as you want?
No shower, no flushing toilet.
