Pump It Up!

Dear friends,

Today was a day of great celebration again in the Tenali slum, we together with our brother Ps. Abraham may work in.
Can you imagine that you have no water in your house? No tap, that just with the twist of your hand spills out clean and cool drinking water for as long as you want?
No shower, no flushing toilet.

That, like in this slum, you have to share only one rusted and often not functioning water pump with the other between 5,000 and 7,000 men, women and children.
That you have to gather your drinking, cooking, washing and bathing water from a very dirty stream, that is also used as a garbage dump and where people because of the lack of just one of live’s most essential necessities also relieve themselves?

This is the reality for the Dalit, the lowest cast possible here. People we are working with and are trying to help with improving their lives.
Part of our mission in this large slum is to install as many water pumps as possible, because clean water makes the difference between sickness and health, life or death.

And today, we again could add a new clean water pump to the list.
For the people here, a day of great joy, happiness and gratitude. People downtrodden, discriminated upon, untouchable, with no change or opportunity to see their situation bettered.
People, by our presence, help, and above all and everything His love, finally seeing that they do count, that they are worthy, that they are loved and that people are willing to go the extra mile for them.

In the meantime, we of course also continue with our feeding program for the children in this slum, and hope that we step by step may reach as many as the Lord leads us to by His graceful hand.

You can help us by praying for this project, so that the abundance from our Heavenly Father’s store house will start flowing.
If the Lord leads you, of course any donation of whatever amount is welcome. For this you can use the PayPal link on this website.

God bless you,
Rev. Jan
